Truth, Triumph & Transformation
Sorting Out the Fact from the Fiction in Universal Law
by Sandra Anne Taylor

| Amazon.com | Amazon.co.uk |
Many people try very hard to consciously apply the law of attraction in a positive way. They attempt to stay chirpy, chipper and upbeat, but when ‘real life’ steps in, or when negative thoughts and emotions reveal themselves, they feel ashamed, and blame themselves for not being positive enough. Which leads to frustration and even more negative thoughts and emotions… Does this sound familiar?
In this very wise book, psychologist Sandra Anne Taylor blows apart many of the rigid, incorrect rules that some gurus have created about the law of attraction. You can finally relax, let go of self-judgement, feel good about yourself, and truly revel in your experience here on Earth! She also reveals that the creation of your destiny is about more than the law of attraction, outlining that your soul’s intention, your life cycles, and your karmic cycles also play a role in determining the events of your life.

This little book is just gorgeous, full of witty, heartfelt wisdom about the true nature of prosperity, and how to attract it into your life. The author – Unity minister and speaker, Edwene Gaines – defines prosperity (it’s about more than money!) and outlines the four actions that guarantee prosperity:
- Tithe 10% of all that you receive
- Set clear-cut, tangible goals
- Forgive everyone all the time, especially yourself
- Seek, discover and follow your divine purpose
Yep, I’ve revealed them all to you here, but you’ll definitely want to grab a copy of the book, where each action is covered in much more detail. They’re illustrated with great stories from Edwene’s life, revealing how she made her way from poverty to a truly prosperous life. (For more information on tithing, see my free Rich Radiant Real Money-Flow Tracker instruction booklet, available from the Freebies page.) Quite simply, this book is a must-read!
Money, and the Law of Attraction
Learning to Attract Wealth, Health & Happiness
by Esther & Jerry Hicks

![]() |
| Amazon.com | Amazon.co.uk |
I love this book. It’s one of a series of law of attraction books by Esther and Jerry Hicks, this one focusing on areas that help us have a full, rich experience in this life. Throughout, we’re told that it’s our feelings that do the ‘attracting’ in any situation, and that to receive better results, we need to gradually reach for better-feeling thoughts and to focus on what we do want. Once our vibration changes, our results change. Pretty simple, really!
If you think that desiring money is materialistic and not at all spiritual, this book reminds us that ‘… all of the magnificent things of a physical nature that are surrounding you are Spiritual in nature’. Money is just another form of spiritual energy. Read this book and prepare to see the world differently, and begin to create a life that you love.
The Power of Intention
Learning to Co-Create Your World Your Way
by Dr Wayne Dyer

This book will make you feel all warm and fuzzy. It’s simply gorgeous. At its core, this book reminds us that in order to live a truly wonderful life, we need to be connected to our source (also known as God, the universe, spirit or the divine). When we tap into the energy of intention (the creative force of the universe), we are able to co-create our life; in order to do so, remember to ‘…keep your thoughts on what you intend to create’. Dr Dyer reminds us of the need for a constant state of love, compassion and gratitude, and I just love that. This book is a bedside staple for me. I hope you love it as much as I do.
How to be Wildly Wealthy Fast
by Sandy Forster
Sandy Forster is an Australian squillionaire (well, multi-millionaire) who, just 10 years ago, was on welfare and was $100,000 in debt. A very stressful place to be, potentially. Sandy turned things around when she discovered the power of the law of attraction, and she shares her powerful story in this entertainingly written, highly practical and very readable book. Chapters (with titles such as ‘Creating Your Millionaire Mindset’, ‘Your Treasure Chest’ and ‘Open the Abundance Flow’) are plentiful, short and easy to digest, yet are loaded with heaps of great ideas, and each chapter ends with Wildly Wealthy action tips, to help spur you into action – because it’s (usually) through action that we receive!
The Secret DVD

This phenomenal DVD took the world by storm a few years ago (see my Oprah story, in About Joanne). The DVD introduces the basics of the law of attraction, and it’s inspiring and beautifully produced. It has its critics – many say that it doesn’t say enough about the need for action to take place once you’ve set an intention. But I love this DVD. I watched it over and over, trying to get my head around the amazing idea that I could create my own reality. It will certainly inspire you, and introduce you to the untapped power of your thoughts and emotions. Highly, highly recommended.
The Science of Getting Rich
by Wallace D Wattles

| Amazon.com | Amazon.co.uk |
This little book was one of the catalysts behind the creation of The Secret DVD. Published over 100 years ago, it’s very much focused on the attainment of material wealth – but it argues, convincingly, that it’s a good thing to want wealth (the universe is all about growth and expansion), and that being poor serves no one, including God. The ‘science’ that Wallace refers to is the proper use of universal laws. In a nutshell: ‘Man can form things in his thought, and, by impressing his thought upon formless substance, can cause the thing he thinks about to be created’. (Don’t be put off by the sexist language – it’s a product of its time!)
Wallace encourages us – among other things – to believe in a higher power, to hold a vision for what we want, to have faith that we will receive all we desire, and to practice gratitude. This classic law of attraction book is a must for your personal success library.
Six Minutes to Success
with Bob Proctor
If we do 15 minutes of exercise, if we take 15 minutes to continue tidying a room, if we spend 15 minutes writing our next book – we definitely move closer, day by day, to achieving our goals. But if you spend just six minutes each weekday watching a video by personal success expert Bob Proctor (on a new topic each day) including implementing the short action step that he recommends, there’ll be no stopping you! No matter how time poor we may feel, we can all find six minutes a day.
I’ve been receiving Bob’s Six Minutes to Success video messages for about a year and half, and I just love them. His energy, compassion, humour, wisdom, vast knowledge and laser-tight focus leap out of the screen, and are a fantastic way to start the day. I’d be very surprised if you didn’t see some big changes happening in your life soon after starting this series. Bob is a teacher on the DVD The Secret, but in this program he delves even deeper into principles of success.
Manifesting Change
It Couldn’t Be Easier
by Mike Dooley
Author of the groovy ‘Notes from the Universe’ (daily words of wisdom that can be emailed to you directly, for free), the inimitable Mike Dooley serves up hours of compelling, life-changing wisdom in this amazing audio program.
In Manifesting Change: It Couldn’t Be Easier, Mike – another passionate teacher from the DVD The Secret – reveals his own take on the way the universe works, giving us a peek ‘behind the curtains of time and space’. He tells jaw-dropping stories of how he’s manifested amazing change in his own life, and provides hands-on processes that you can apply today, so that you really can create whatever it is that you want in your life.
You can purchase the program either as shipped-to-you CDs or as instantly downloadable MP3s – pop it on your iPod and hit the ground running!
Health
Changing Habits, Changing Lives
The Australian Way to Good Food, Better Health & More Energy!
by Cyndi O’Meara
Don’t let the subtitle make you feel as though this book may not be for you – it isn’t just for Australians! Friends put me onto Changing Habits, Changing Lives quite a few years ago, and it took me on the road to much-improved health. Thank goodness for helpful friends.
When you experience sensational health, your vibration skyrockets, and this helps attract fabulous experiences into your life. You also have the energy to really enjoy those experiences!
Cyndi O’Meara makes it easy for you to start making changes that will increase your health dramatically. You can make these changes week by week, trying out one new habit each week (such as, if you’re going to eat chocolate, eat only small amounts of very good-quality chocolate – see, it’s not about deprivation!). If you’re ready to take charge of your health and vitality, I highly recommend starting with this book.
Green for Life

I looove green smoothies for their amazing health benefits and taste – if you’d like to find out what a green smoothie actually is, and to try a few recipes, why not download my free booklet called The Green Smoothie Glow, from the Freebies page?
If you’re ready to discover the story behind green smoothies, including much more about the compelling nutritional benefits of downing a glass or two every day, you’ll love Green for Life. Entertainingly written by the ‘inventor’ of green smoothies, Victoria Boutenko, this outstanding book puts forward a very powerful argument for consuming leafy greens in a tasty, drinkable form (that is, with mostly fruit, and water).
How to Get Started with Raw Foods
by Karen Knowler
If all this talk of green smoothies is making you just a little bit curious about the effects of eating fresh fruits and leafy greens, you need to get yourself a copy of Karen Knowler’s classic e-book, How to Get Started with Raw Foods. But raw food (food that isn’t heated above 48°C – or 118°F), is about so much more. Eating a high amount of raw food – which can include fruits, vegetables, leafy greens, seaweed, sprouts, nuts and seeds – can positively transform your body, mind and spirit, and take you on a journey to blissful health, clarity and vitality.
While I don’t necessarily recommend eating a diet of raw foods only (see your doctor or naturopath, to be sure that you have all of your nutritional bases covered), upping the quantity of live food that you eat will definitely help raise your vibration, and make you feel sensational!
The Six-Week Detox
So, you’re ready to take your health to the next level? You’ve been eating more healthily, but you still feel a little sluggish, and intuitively know that your body’s probably hosting a boatload of toxic build-up that could do with being released? A great way to get fresh energy moving throughout your body, and to remove old, stagnant energy, is to undertake a medically supervised detox program. I highly recommend this Six-Week Detox program, run by Dr Ritamarie Loscalzo and Tera Warner.
It’s run live a couple of times a year, and there are three price and support levels available – VIP, full support and basic support. I’ve been through the basic-support version, but having been a part of Tera’s Body Enlightenment System program on several occasions, I know that the full support level of this newer program would be phenomenal (regular support emails, menu planners, forum access etc). This fabulous detox has been designed with busy people in mind, and allows you to gently detox while still powering through your full-on life.
Get Fit with JJ
You know, phenomenal health isn’t just about the food, and nor is it just about fresh air, good-quality sleep, connection with others, and a positive attitude – exercise plays a HUGE role in helping us to feel great (and therefore attract more of the goodies of life!).
As a nutritionist and personal trainer to the stars, spunky JJ Virgin has created a cool fitness program that’s low-priced and is full of fantastic, nuts-and-bolts info. You can stop spending hours at the gym, or doing long bouts of aerobic exercise – JJ says that the best exercises for burning fat and creating lean muscle are ‘burst’ (intensity) training and resistance training. These exercises take just minutes a day – woohoo! Head here to download JJ’s entertainingly written and very clear instructional booklet, audio and video.
Happiness & Living Well
Happy for No Reason
7 Steps to Being Happy from the Inside Out
by Marci Shimoff

| Amazon.com | Amazon.co.uk |
Did you know that you have a ‘happiness set-point’? Interesting, huh? Much like a body-weight set point, your happiness set-point can be changed through conscious action. And, as the title says, it really is possible to be ‘happy for no reason’. Imagine not having to depend on outside circumstances for the state of your happiness? Imagine choosing to be happy at any time, just by changing your perspective? The bonus is that doing so helps put your attraction factor on high beam, and magically draws wonderful experiences into your life – as author Marci Shimoff says: ‘Happiness is what brings us success.’
Marci (a teacher in the movie The Secret) interviewed what she calls ‘The Happy 100′, investigating what 100 unconditionally happy people had in common. Their answers – along with ancient wisdom and the results of cutting-edge happiness research – can be found within the pages of this inspiring book.
Simple Abundance
A Daybook of Comfort & Joy
by Sarah Ban Breathnach

| Amazon.com | Amazon.co.uk |
I have a soft spot for this gorgeous book. It was a regular bedside book for me for many years (I mentioned this book in my About Joanne story), and it played a key role in my spiritual journey. I dip into it often for inspiration.
Sarah defines the principles of Simple Abundance as Gratitude, Simplicity, Order, Harmony, Beauty and Joy. Doesn’t it make you feel good, just reading those? It’s because of this book that I began keeping a gratitude journal (see the ‘Gratitude Friday’ entries in my blog), and realised how important it is to live authentically.
The book takes you day by day, month by month through an entire year – a year of potential transformation. Each month also features a ‘Joyful Simplicities’ list, which provides inspiration for living mindfully, and for celebrating the beautiful experiences we can choose to have during our time here on Earth. If you’re feeling frazzled, a bit lost, or as though there’s ‘something more’ that you’re missing out on, this book will help guide you back to yourself, and to a truly rich life.
Gracious Living in a New World
Finding Joy in Changing Times
by Alexandra Stoddard

| Amazon.com | Amazon.co.uk |
This is a book about slowing down, and appreciating our lives. It really is about taking time to stop and smell the roses! Alexandra Stoddard (also the author of the gorgeous Living a Beautiful Life: 500 Ways to Add Elegance, Order, Beauty and Joy to Every Day of Your Life) reminds us that even if everyone else is living a frantic life, it doesn’t mean that we have to do the same. We can choose the quality of our life, and we don’t always have to be ‘doing’. We need to give value to time (which could mean working fewer hours), and to appreciate and savour our life.
While Alexandra recommends nourishing our soul with sensory experiences such as those of beautiful art, flowers, and good food, she places much importance on the need to have fulfilling relationships – creating a ‘village’-type world where we all look after each other and take time for kindness and friendship.
This book will inspire you to live with grace, to give yourself (and others) space and time, and to create a truly beautiful life.
The Art of Extreme Self-Care
Transform Your Life One Month at a Time
by Cheryl Richardson

In our quest for a better life, one that is truly rich and satisfying, it’s essential that we take good care of ourselves. Extremely good care. For women, this can be a difficult thing to contemplate, because we’re used to tending to the needs of everyone else first, and being ‘good girls’. It can seem selfish to take time for yourself, to stand up for yourself, to look after your health and to create a life that you love.
But in this book, Cheryl Richardson takes you gently by the hand, and insists that you get a grip! She provides many practical strategies for shaping a beautiful life that nurtures you, including deeply loving and caring for yourself, creating rhythms and routines, saying ‘no’ and creating a ‘soul-loving space’. This is your life, and you can choose to live with a feeling of supreme wellbeing. I love that Cheryl speaks from the heart in this book, and shares so many of her own experiences and the lessons she’s learned.

Joanne's coaching was exactly what I needed to help me focus my precious time and money on finding work and making money! What I like most about Joanne’s coaching is that it's gentle, supportive and empathetic, rather than pushy and 'ra-ra-ra'”
...if there’s something that you’ve been putting off doing, because it’s so big and overwhelming, then by coaching with Joanne you'll definitely find a way to do it, to finally reach your goal.”
