A Candle for a Goddessy Kind of Day

Just thought I’d share the candle that now graces my desk. Isn’t it beautiful?

I bought it at the Goddess Playshop that I attended last week.

It’s a chakra candle, with each colour representing a different chakra – it starts at the top with red, which is the colour of the base chakra, and then it burns down as it goes up through the chakras. Each layer also contains the aromatherapy oils that correspond to each chakra.

Clever, huh?

And pretty. I love rainbow-type colour combinations, so I love this candle! The wax is made from soy, and the wick is organic cotton. Perfect for an eco-chick like me!

Hope this has brightened your day, and boosted your feel-good vibration – don’t you wish we had ‘smell-a-vision’ on the internet? (It’s only a matter of time, my dears…)

Goddess Playshop Bliss

On Sunday afternoon, I gave myself some decadent ‘me-time’, and met with fellow goddesses at a Goddess Playshop. What a treat.

I won’t tell you too much about what took place (just in case you should ever want to be part of a Goddess Playshop yourself), but I can tell you that I am feeling incredible!

I knew a little about chakras before attending the playshop, but we explored the concept more there, and as I drove home I really felt the difference in my wellbeing (a feeling that I still carry with me). The peaceful, loving, supportive energy of our facilitators (and sisters) Luanne and Michelle, and the other women attending, was utterly blissful. (You may remember Luanne from the Rich Radiant Real teleseminar I hosted this month, called ‘The Goddess in You’.)

And, oh, the location – beautiful Gaia’s Garden in the Melbourne suburb of Kew. I adore the space that Trisha Szirom has created, an absolute haven. In fact, I’ve been looking for inspirational, private spaces in which to hold exciting VIP days with clients, and I think Gaia’s Garden is just perfect. What’s a VIP day, I hear you ask? I’ll tell you more about this very special concept soon, but let’s just say that it’s a day just for you, a day where I help you explore what a dream life means to you, and we then work/play together to create a dynamic plan to help you reach that dream life sooner than you think (all while living – and revelling – in the now!). But I digress…

My afternoon of ‘me time’ was just what I needed, and I feel restored, and so grateful for the experience. Apart from the beautiful gift bags each goddess received to take home, we were able to indulge in some goddess-like retail therapy with pampering and inspirational goodies. Just look at the photo above, showcasing the products available on the day – the rich rainbow of colours, the soothing scents of high-quality aromatherapy oils (you’ll need to use your imagintion for that), the energy of love radiating from everything on that table. Gorgeous.

Right, I’m about to sail off to bed, all set for a blissful night’s sleep. I intend on keeping this sublime feeling of peace with me for a long time to come! Thank you so much to my goddess sisters who attended the event…

The Sweet Smell of Success

It’s so important that we treat ourselves well – and that we let ourselves feel the anticipation of receiving something beautiful.

I promised myself that upon launching my website, I’d reward myself with a special scented candle. For a couple of months now, I’ve had my eye on a gorgeous candle from the gift shop at my favourite nursery – Acorn Nursery. The candle I’d coveted was a soy-based, fragranced candle from the UK, packaged in a lovely tin.

However, when I went in to purchase said candle, I spotted a range of Australian scented candles. Ecoya candles have only been around for a few months, but apparently they’re proving very popular. And I can see (and smell) why. Pictured above is the candle I decided to purchase (I’ll save the UK tinned candle for next time!) – with a sumptuous sweet pea and jasmine scent. I have it burning in front of me as I type, drawing me in with its mesmerising glow. Soon I’ll be taking it off to the bathroom, to fill the room with scent while I soak in the bath.

The candles are made from a soy wax, and have lead-free cotton wicks. They also smell heavenly. In fact, this sweet pea and jasmine scent has made me resolve to plant sweet peas this spring, in anticipation of inhaling the flowers’ sweet, spicy aroma on hot summer days, and of drinking in their glorious colour. Yes, something else to look forward to! (My research indicates that I’m going to have to purchase the older varieties of sweet pea, to ensure that the flowers are full of scent.)

Have you planned some pleasure for your not-too-distant future? Do you have something to look forward to, even if it’s just something simple? Have you thought of planning a reward for your hard work on a project – or for no reason at all? Perhaps you could plan to enjoy something that will tantalise your senses, such as a scented candle, a massage, an afternoon leafing through new books in a bookstore, or a meal at your absolute favourite restaurant?

Perhaps you’d like to share what it is that you do to add richness to your life? I’d love to hear!

So now, I’m off to soak. Bliss…
