Value Your Time!
I thought I’d post this video today – actually, have you ever read The 4-Hour Workweek, Expanded and Updated: Expanded and Updated, With Over 100 New Pages of Cutting-Edge Content., by Tim Ferris? The book is a wee bit controversial, not only because it goes against the grain for people who figure you shouldn’t be paid if you’re not physically working every moment of the day, but because he recommends outsourcing work to people in developing countries who charge less. However, there’s no need to follow every recommendation in the book if it doesn’t tally with your values, but the book offers a fabulous perspective on the value of our time.
If we’re here to live a truly magnificent life, then all the money in the world means nothing if you never have time to enjoy it (or to see it being enjoyed and appreciated by those with whom you share your money). The true richness of life comes in actually LIVING your life.
In this video, Tim is being interviewed about a few things, but I like how he talks about time being our most previous non-renewable resource. Check it out, and let me know what you think.
Millionaire Time & Productivity Secrets
You know, I heard a quote recently, by millionaire businessman Siimon Reynolds, that went something along the lines of ‘time management is simply LIFE management’.
That really struck a chord with me. We want to live fabulous lives, right? We want to experience bliss, satisfaction and connection, and to have enough resources to enjoy our life – and those resources include both money and TIME.
We all have 24 hours in a day. Each and every one of us, including mums, multimillionaire businesspeople, retirees and toddlers. No one gets a second more than anyone else. A liberating realisation, don’t you think? The only differences between those who live wonderful lives, and those who struggle and don’t enjoy their lives, are their perspectives on life, and their use of time.
(And, it’s also important to remember that time is our only non-renewable resource. Once it’s gone, we don’t get it back.)
So it makes sense to really value our time. It’s precious, it really is. Don’t you think it might just be worth investing one renewable resource (that of money – we can always make more money, but we can’t ‘make’ more time) to learn how to make the very best of our time? And to learn from an inspirational multimillionaire woman entrepreneur who’s tried and tested what works for her, and is now generously passing on the benefit of her experience?
Well, I definitely think it’s worth it, and I recently signed up for Ali Brown’s ‘Millionaire Time & Productivity Secrets’ course, a four-part telecourse that includes downloadable MP3s, transcripts of the calls, and a heap of other resources.
The final call is being held today, but my guess is that the downloads etc of the course will be available for a little while yet, so if you’d like to join me, simply head here:
The course content is designed for entrepreneurs, but, really, so much of the content applies to everyone. We can set goals, and attract all the goodies and amazing experiences of life, but if we don’t make time to really enjoy the blessings of our lives, then what’s the point?
If you’ve been struggling to make the most of this precious resource, maybe it’s time to grab some inspiration and guidance from someone who’s pretty much worked it out?
Here’s where you can check it out:
PS I’m an affiliate of Ali’s – I LOVE her stuff, and the impact that she’s making in the world.
